On October 15, 2015, we commemorated the 305th birthday of Connecticut's Revolutionary War Governor Jonathan Trumbull, with ceremonies at the Gov. Jonathan Trumbull House/Wadsworth Stable in Lebanon, Connecticut. The 125th Anniversary (1890-2015) of the Daughters of the American Revolution was also celebrated.

The Connecticut Line, Living History/Color Guard Unit of the Connecticut Society of the Sons of the American Revolution held its first formal Change of Command Ceremony. After serving as Colonel, commanding the Connecticut Line CTSSAR since May 2005, and prior to that, serving as Colonel, commanding the New England Contingent, Living History/Color Guard Unit of the New England District of the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution (of which the Connecticut Line CTSSAR, as one of its detachments was also under my command.) from October 1999 to October 2006, I decided it was time to step down. I wasn't completely walking away from SAR Living History, I still held the rank of Captain of the 11th Connecticut Regiment (a detachment of the Connecticut Line CTSSAR), which is now in our 24th year, having participated in Revolutionary War events in all six New England States, New York and Virginia.

A full page article on the historic event was published in the Fall, Volume 17, Issue 5, of the "Bullseye," a Turnbull Clan Association Worldwide newsletter.
